COX’S BAZAR, Feb 20: Plans are underway to establish an eco-park named Darianagar adjacent to the Himchhari National Park in Jhilongja Union, Sadar Upazila, covering approximately 30 acres of land. The proposed location of the park is situated approximately three kilometers away from the district town. A request has been forwarded through Cox’s Bazar Deputy Commissioner (DC), Md Ali Hossein, to the relevant ministry for the establishment of a vast sanctuary for animals and birds within the Darianagar eco-park.
